  • The battery pack is not fully seated
  • Ensure that the battery pack is inserted all the way into the housing and latched in place.
  • The battery pack is over or under the appropriate temperature range
  • Move the battery pack to a place where it is dry and the temperature is between 5°C (41°F) and 40°C (104°F)
  • The battery pack has exceeded high amperage limits
  • Cycle the key to the off position
  • There is moisture on the leads of the battery pack
  • Allow the battery pack to dry or wipe it dry
  • The battery pack is damaged
  • Replace the battery pack
  • There is another electrical problem with the machine
  • Contact an Authorized Service Dealer

The Toro 39924 machine does not reach full power.

Cause Solution
  • The battery pack charge capacity is too low
  • Remove the battery pack from the machine and fully charge the battery pack.
  • The air vents are blocked
  • Clean the air vents.

The Toro 39924 machine is producing a beeping sound.

Cause Solution
  • The motor shutoff timeout was reached because the auger was not engaged for an extended period of time
  • No issue, restart the machine. The machine beeps to indicate that the motor shutoff timeout was reached
  • The battery pack is low on charge
  • Charge the battery pack
  • The machine is overloaded
  • Walk at a slower pace while clearing snow or break up a large pile of snow before clearing it
  • There is another electrical problem with the machine
  • Attempt the other troubleshooting actions, if the alarm still sounds, contact an Authorized Service Dealer.

The Toro 39924 machine runs, but the machine discharges snow poorly or not at all.

Cause Solution
  • You are trying to remove too much snow per swath
  • Reduce the amount of snow removed per swath
  • You are trying to remove extremely heavy or wet snow.
  • Do not overload the machine with extremely heavy or wet snow
  • The discharge chute is plugged
  • Unclog the discharge chute
  • The auger/impeller drive belt is loose or is off the pulley
  • Install and/or adjust the auger/impeller drive belt; refer to www.Toro.com for servicing information or take the machine to an Authorized Service Dealer
  • The auger drive belt is worn or broken.
  • Replace the auger drive belt; refer to www.Toro.com for servicing information or take the machine to an Authorized Service Dealer
  • You are using the machine in ECO mode in heavy conditions
  • Verify that ECO mode is not engaged in heavy conditions

The Toro 39924 discharge chute either does not lock into place or does not move.

Cause Solution
  • The discharge-chute latch cable is not properly adjusted.
  • Adjust the discharge-chute latch cable

The Toro machine does not properly clear the snow off the surface.

Cause Solution
  • The skids and/or scraper are not properly adjusted
  • Adjust the skids and/or the scraper.
  • The pressure in the tires is not equal
  • Check and adjust the pressure in 1 or both tires

The Toro LED battery charge light on the powerhead is red.

Cause Solution
  • The battery temperature and/or voltage outside of the operating range
  • Verify the battery condition and charge level with the charger.

The Toro battery pack loses charge quickly

Cause Solution
  • The battery pack is over or under the appropriate temperature range.
  • Move the battery pack to a place where it is dry and the temperature is between 5°C (41°F) and 40°C (104°F).
  • The machine is overloaded.
  • Push the machine with less force

The Toro battery charger is not working

Cause Solution
  • The battery charger is over or under the appropriate temperature range
  • Unplug the battery charger and move it to a place where it is dry and the temperature is between 5°C (41°F) and 40°C (104°F).
  • The outlet that the battery charger is plugged into does not have power
  • Contact your licensed electrician to repair the outlet.

The Toro LED indicator light on the battery charger is red.

Cause Solution
  • The battery charger and/or battery pack is over or under the appropriate temperature range
  • Unplug the battery charger and move the battery charger and battery pack to a place where it is dry and the temperature is between 5°C (41°F) and 40°C (104°F)

The Toro LED indicator light on the battery charger is blinking red.

Cause Solution
  • There is an error in the communication between the battery pack and the charger
  • Remove the battery pack from the battery charger, unplug the battery charger from the outlet, and wait 10 seconds. Plug the battery charger into the outlet again and place the battery pack on the battery charger. If the LED indicator light on the battery charger is still blinking red, repeat this procedure again. If the LED indicator light on the battery charger is still blinking red after 2 attempts, contact your authorized service dealer if the battery is in warranty, or properly dispose of the battery pack at a battery recycling facility.
  • The battery pack is weak.
  • Contact your authorized service dealer if the battery is under warranty, or properly dispose of the battery pack at a battery recycling facility.
