Below are common issues and solutions for the Shark MV2010 Series:

The Shark MV2010 Series will not turn on

Solution:

  • Your Shark MV2010 Series should be securely plugged into a 120V AC electrical outlet only.
  • Check your fuse or breaker.
  • Switch the Steam or Vacuum Power button to the ON “I” position.

The Shark MV2010 Series will not make steam

Solution:

  • Make sure the water tank is filled to the indicated fill line.
  • Attach the Steam Pad and Frame to the base of the unit.
  • Switch the Steam Power button to the ON “I” position.
  • TILT MOP HANDLE BACK TO GENERATE STEAM

The Shark MV2010 Series leaves water on the floor

Solution:

  • Check to see if your micro-fiber cleaning pad has absorbed too much moisture. We recommend you unplug the Shark MV2010 Series™ and replace the microfiber cleaning pad. Make sure the steam pad is attached correctly.
  • Wait 30 seconds after switching the Steam Power button ON “I” before mopping, allowing water to heat to a 212° sanitizing steam. If the unit is not allowed to heat properly, some water may be emitted.
