I have problems with my Polaris 8050 Sport

What to do if your Polaris 8050 Sport is not working?

If your Polaris 8050 Sport pool cleaner is not working, begin by checking the Error Indicator to see if it flashes just after start (either pressing Power or Floor/Wall setting button for less than 20 seconds). This could indicate that the floating cable may not be plugged into the control unit correctly, so unplug it and then reconnect. Also, ensure that the cleaner is fully submerged in the pool. If the propeller is jammed and not turning correctly, or if the tracks are jammed, first contact your local retailer for a diagnostic review, and if the issue is not resolved, contact Polaris Technical Support.

Should the Polaris 8050 Sport still not clean the entire pool or seems to be running slowly, remove the cleaner from the pool and re-submerge it to ensure there is no air in the cleaner body panels. If the filter canister is full or dirty, clean it. Check if the cleaner is sucking air during the cleaning cycle; if so, reduce the SCS setting. If the cleaner does not climb the pool walls or clean up to the waterline, the issue could be slippery or slimy walls. Adjust the Surface Control System™ setting, and if necessary, do a shock chlorination treatment to reduce the pH levels in the pool, but do not leave the cleaner in the pool during this treatment.

Following these troubleshooting steps should help resolve most issues with the Polaris 8050 Sport pool cleaner. If the problem persists, consult the user manual or contact customer support for further assistance.
