The Pentair Kreepy Krauly cleaner stays in one end of the pool. – Check and redirect the return line water flow with an eyeball diverter.
– Ensure the hose is long enough to reach the end of the pool. Refer to page 6.
– Check that the cleaner has proper hose balance. Refer to page 6.
The Pentair Kreepy Krauly cleaner stays on the main drain. – Ensure that the main drain is closed and seek assistance from a pool professional if necessary.
– Check to be sure a main drain grate is installed.
– If the main drain is not flush with the pool floor, consult your pool professional.
The Pentair Kreepy Krauly cleaner slows or stops and air bubbles enter the pool at the return line. – Locate and fix the air leak causing the pump to lose its prime:
– Check the hose for leaks.
– Ensure the vacuum connection is submerged to prevent air from entering the system.
– Inspect the pump basket lid for looseness, cracks, and worn or missing O-rings. Contact your pool professional if needed.
The Pentair Kreepy Krauly cleaner pulls air from, or remains at the water surface. – Check that the dive float mechanism is operating freely and the dive float restrictors are in the correct position. See page 3.
– Ensure the automatic regulator valve is properly installed and not clogged with debris.
– Make sure the water level is at least 3 inches below the pool deck.
– Verify that the cleaner is operating at the proper speed of 8-12 feet per minute.
The Pentair Kreepy Krauly cleaner stays at the shallow end steps. – Redirect the return line water flow with an eyeball diverter if necessary.
– Check the automatic regulator valve for proper installation and ensure it is not clogged with debris.
– Ensure the hose is long enough to reach the furthest point of the pool, including pool steps, and check for proper hose balance.
– Ensure the dive float mechanism is operating freely. See page 3.
The Pentair Kreepy Krauly gets stuck on pool obstructions. – Install a Ladder Guard (P/N K12330) if the cleaner gets stuck under the pool ladder, following the instructions in the packaging. These accessories are available from your Pentair Aquatics dealer.
The Pentair Kreepy Krauly cleaner goes in repetitive pattern. – Check that the swivel on top of the cleaner turns freely.
– Redirect the return line water flow with an eyeball diverter as necessary. Refer to page 7.
– Check the cleaner hose for bends or kinks. Lay each section flat on a surface to check for straightness. Avoid coiling the hose when removing the cleaner from the pool to prevent it from retaining a coiled shape.
