Dolphin Nautilus CC Plus Frequently Asked Questions
How Do I Prepare My Dolphin Nautilus CC Plus for Use?
To prepare your Dolphin Nautilus CC Plus for use, start by reading the user manual to familiarize yourself with its features. Next, inspect your pool for large debris that could obstruct the cleaner’s operation. Position the power supply unit at least 3.5 meters (12 feet) from the pool edge to ensure the cleaner can reach all areas. Unwind the floating cable carefully, ensuring it is free of kinks or tangles. Before connecting the cleaner, check the filter elements and impeller for any debris. Once everything is set, plug in the power supply and ensure it is in the OFF position before attaching the floating cable. This preparation ensures optimal performance during the cleaning cycle.
What Steps Should I Follow to Operate the Cleaner?
To operate the Dolphin Nautilus CC Plus, first, ensure that the power supply is plugged in and turned OFF. Carefully lower the cleaner into the pool, allowing it to sink to the bottom. Make sure the floating cable is free of obstructions. Once the cleaner is in place, switch the power supply ON. The cleaner will automatically begin its cleaning cycle, which typically lasts between 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on the pool size and debris level. During operation, monitor the cleaner to ensure it moves freely and does not get stuck. If it struggles to reach certain areas, consider adjusting the power supply position or checking the cable for slack to enhance its cleaning efficiency.
How Can I Troubleshoot Common Issues with the Cleaner?
If you encounter issues with your Dolphin Nautilus CC Plus, start by checking for common problems. If the cleaner is not moving or is moving in circles, inspect for foreign objects that may be obstructing its parts. Ensure the filter elements are clean and that the filter doors are securely closed. If the cable is twisting or coiling up, remove excess cable from the pool and lay it out straight. If the cleaner is not sinking, ensure the brushes are soaked in water. For electrical issues, check the power supply and contact your distributor if necessary. Regular maintenance and troubleshooting can help keep your cleaner functioning optimally.
What Maintenance Should I Perform After Each Use?
After each use of the Dolphin Nautilus CC Plus, it’s essential to perform routine maintenance to ensure its longevity and performance. Start by unplugging the power supply before any servicing. Remove the filter elements and rinse them thoroughly with clean water to eliminate any trapped debris. Inspect the impeller for blockages and clean it if necessary. Additionally, check the brushes for wear and rinse them as well. After cleaning, reassemble the filter elements carefully, ensuring they fit securely without forcing them into place. Finally, coil the floating cable and store the cleaner in a cool, dry area, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures to protect its components.
Why Is Proper Storage Important for My Pool Cleaner?
Proper storage of your Dolphin Nautilus CC Plus is crucial for maintaining its performance and extending its lifespan. Storing the cleaner in a cool, dry area protects it from direct sunlight, excessive heat, and frost, which can damage its components. Coiling the floating cable neatly prevents tangling and potential wear. Avoid leaving the cleaner exposed to harsh weather conditions, as this can lead to deterioration of the materials. Additionally, proper storage helps prevent dust and debris from accumulating on the cleaner, ensuring it is ready for use when needed. By following these storage guidelines, you can ensure that your pool cleaner remains in optimal condition for many seasons to come.
How Can I Ensure Optimal Performance of My Dolphin Nautilus CC Plus?
To ensure optimal performance of your Dolphin Nautilus CC Plus, regular maintenance and proper usage are key. Always check and clean the filter elements after each use to maintain suction power. Inspect the impeller for blockages and clean it as needed. Ensure that the brushes are appropriate for your pool surface and are in good condition. Before each cleaning cycle, lay out the cable straight and free of twists to prevent tangling. Monitor the cleaner during operation to ensure it is moving freely and not obstructed by debris. Finally, follow the manufacturer’s guidelines for storage and maintenance to prolong the life of your cleaner and enhance its cleaning efficiency.
I have problems with my Dolphin Nautilus CC Plus
Shows electrical is working but Dolphin not working.
I have had my Nautilus Dolphin for 1/5 years. It has worked beautifully but now will not move at all. I’ve cleaned it, taken it out of the pool and re-submerged and it still will not work. Please help!
My dolphin CC plus is having issues with the track belt coming off the roller on the drive side. I have replaced the tracks and rollers with a tune-up kit. The issue seemed to be solved for a couple of weeks and has now started having the issue again. It’s always the same side and the same roller. I swapped the rollers around to no avail. I don’t see anything amiss. I have ordered two new wheel tubes, is there anything else that could be a problem? Thank you for your Time.
Is there any way to RESET the pool cleaner? Ours just stopped working 1 week ago. The power source shows power…but the fan on the unit itself isn’t turning.
It’s 2 years old — so is this a common problem?
Turns on goes forward stops then goes backwards then stops. Total of 10 seconds
It’s only 2 years old and won’t move in the water this us ridiculous
Our new Dolphin Nautilus gets hung up on a step. Anything we can adjust to correct this problem?
Doesn’t matter if you select 1, 2 or 3 hours. The Nautilus CC Plus will only move about 10″ forward. Shuts off after that. Any help appreciated.
Power supply comes on like normal, select 1,2 or 3 but then the actual cleaner isn’t receiving the power so nothing hapoening in the pool. I took it out and dried it for two days – still nothing?
It was running very slow and then just stopped working
