Dolphin Active 20 Troubleshooting

If you are having problems with your Dolphin Active 20 Pool Cleaner, you are not alone. Many Dolphin Active 20 owners experience issues with their pool cleaner from time to time, and it can be frustrating to deal with these problems.

I have problems with my Dolphin Active 20

What to do if your Dolphin Active 20 is not working?

If your Dolphin Active 20 pool cleaner is not working, begin by checking that there is voltage in the power socket and that the power supply is switched ON. Also, ensure the black power cable is firmly connected into the power supply inlet. If these are all correct but the cleaner still doesn’t operate, try turning the power supply OFF, wait 30 seconds, and then turn it back ON.

Should the Dolphin Active 20 still not move or if it is moving in circles, verify that the floating cable is securely connected to the power supply. Check for and remove any obstacles blocking the impeller, tracks, or wheels by unplugging the power supply and opening the impeller cover. If the pool cleaner does not turn or moves in only one direction, clear any debris from the impeller house or cover. Make sure the power supply is positioned to allow the cleaner to reach all areas of the pool, and that there is enough floating cable released to enable full coverage.

Following these troubleshooting steps should help resolve most issues with the Dolphin Active 20 pool cleaner. If the problem persists, consult the user manual or contact customer support for further assistance.

  1. A week ago I just bought the dolphin active 20 and when it gets to a ledge or wall it climbs then flips itself over and gets stuck upside down. I’ve had other robots ( smaller models) that had no problem climbing ledges and walls is something defective with this one?

    • I Thomas , Paul here I have a Dolphin Active 30 , mine did that also once before . I think that will happen when the pool water is to cold. Mine stopped doing that when the water temp. went above 70 degree’s. No a problem anymore.
