  • The Auger cable is in need of adjustment.
  • Adjust the auger control cable. Refer to the Assembly section.
  • Auger belt loose or damaged.
  • Replace the auger belt. Refer to the Service and Maintenance section
  • Shear pin(s) sheared.
  • Replace with a new shear pin(s). Refer to the Operation section.

The Craftsman SB710 CMXGBAM1054545 Chute fails to easily rotate 180-200 degrees

Cause Solution
  • Chute assembled incorrectly
  • Disassemble the chute control and reassemble it as directed in the  Assembly section

Cause Solution
  • Low/slow ground speed in wet/slushy snow 1-3” deep
  • Increase ground speed. Always operate the engine at FULL throttle
  • Shear pin(s) sheared
